Our Pledge: Standing with Anye and Every Parent Fighting for Justice

At Disabled But Not Defeated, we don’t just hear your story—we listen, and we act. We are here now, standing 100% behind Anye, her son, and every family facing injustice and impossible odds.

We don’t need to tell or retell Anye’s story to know what’s right. We see a mother fighting with everything she has—and we are ready to fight alongside her.

Our commitment is action: whether it’s legal support, connecting resources, advocacy, or helping build long-term stability, we do not walk away. I’ve spent my life helping people with disabilities and those left out of the system—like the blind/deaf woman I helped go from $30,000 a year in disability income to $170,000 a year working in corporate America.

We bring that same drive, determination, and unwavering belief in human potential to Anye’s fight. She is not alone.

We are all in. And we are just getting started.

Disability Civil Rights March

Join Thomas Ryan Kennedy, Founder of Disabled But Not Defeated live and in person for a Disability Civil Rights March!

When: September 14, 2025
Where: Capital Hill, Washington DC USA
Time: Noon EST.

Join me in person or live on YouTube/Zoom and/or an Accessible Platform. All people with disabilities and allies are welcome to join. Or even if you are just curious!

Just $1. One person to say, “I stand with you.” That is all the strength I need to keep going.

Because when it’s two of us or more than 1, the power grows. The energy rises! I don’t believe my story is unique—I believe there are countless others like me. This is about showing up for each other. About building something bigger than any one of us. If you can, join me—whether it’s with a dollar, a share, or simply standing in solidarity. Together, we can turn silence into strength.
